Project Overview
As Campus Activities Board Student Leader, I planned, marketed, and executed over 20 major student engagement events during the 2018–2019 academic year. From beloved traditions like Spirit Day and the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner to interactive experiences like Game On and educational panels such as Courageous Conversations: Women’s Leadership, I developed strategies that increased average attendance by 34% and elevated campus spirit.
The Challenge
Boost attendance and awareness of campus events across a diverse student body while maintaining low costs and ensuring consistent branding for a wide range of event types.
The Solution
- Designed cohesive event branding across flyers, banners, and social media.
- Led targeted print and digital campaigns tailored to student interests.
- Created event-specific hashtags to drive engagement before, during, and after events.
- Partnered with campus departments and local vendors for cross-promotion.
- Managed photography and live coverage for post-event storytelling.
The Results
- 34% increase in average event attendance compared to the prior year.
- +22% growth in social media engagement on event-related content.
- Strengthened the sense of community and school pride as reflected in student feedback and post-event surveys.
